Renault Duster Set for Return to India in 2026

Renault has confirmed that the all-new generation of the Duster will make its debut in India on January 26, 2026. The original Duster, launched in 2012, played a key role in shaping India's compact SUV segment, offering rugged styling, car-like comfort, and genuine SUV capability at a time when few options were available.

The upcoming new Duster will also be the first vehicle under Renault’s “International Game Plan 2027,” a strategic roadmap aimed at revitalizing the brand’s presence in India. This initiative, branded “Renault. Rethink.,” focuses on refreshed design, modern technology, and enhanced value for customers.

The 2026 Duster introduces a bolder and more contemporary look. It features a sleek new grille with Y-shaped LED DRLs, a prominent front bumper, and a strong, upright stance. Squared-off wheel arches and a redesigned glasshouse enhance its road presence, while Y-shaped LED tail lamps and a robust rear bumper give it a muscular, ready-for-anything appeal.

Inside, the cabin has been overhauled with a minimalist dashboard design and slimmer AC vents, replacing the older boxy setup. A 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system takes centre stage, complemented by a 7-inch digital display for the driver.

For the Indian market, Renault has yet to confirm the engine options, though a 1.3-litre mild-hybrid petrol is expected, available with both manual and automatic transmission choices.

Globally, the Duster has sold over 1.8 million units, including more than 2 lakh in India, making it one of Renault’s most recognized and well-received SUVs.
